Principal’s Update – 22nd October 2021
Dear Families, I write to you at the end of what has been a really rewarding half term at Derby Moor. I feel incredibly privileged to have the job that I have. To be able to walk this school each day, see our young people flourish and our staff teams deliver lessons and support of such high quality day in day out really is a joy. I have mentioned the strength of our community many times in these updates and it is that quality and our value of community, that has helped our young people adapt and recover from a year of disruption, and bring our school back to life this autumn.

Principal’s Update – 15th October 2021
Dear Families, I hope this update finds you and those closest to you in good health. We are about to enter the final week of this first half term after what has been a busy fortnight of events at the academy. There are a few updates and reminders for you below to carry us through next week and into the second half term of the academic year.

Principal’s Update – 8th October 2021
Dear Families, I hope you and those closest to you are in good health and that our students have made good use of the Inset Day today. After a wonderful Open Evening last night, today has been a much quieter affair with our staff focussing on their professional development and training. We know that this is time well invested as the high quality support our students receive inside and outside of the classroom comes from our dedicated staff team. Giving them time to reflect on their practice means we can continue growing our expertise and supporting our young people to become well-rounded, happy and healthy citizens. Together We Succeed.

Principal’s Update – 1st October 2021
Dear Families, I hope this update finds you and those closest to you in good health. Autumn is certainly upon us. As anticipated the temperatures have dropped, we’ve had more rain and both the mornings and evenings are becoming considerably darker. With that in mind, alongside safety and well-being, it is important that our students are prepared for the weather, checking the forecast before setting off and are taking care travelling to and from school. I have a couple of updates for you this week ahead of our Open Evening on Thursday 7th.
