2022 September
Dear Families,
I hope this update finds you all in the best of health. We have had another positive week at the Academy with our new students in Year 7 and 12 finding their feet and settling into our community. I have witnessed so many acts of kindness this week with older students helping out younger or new students, guiding them to classrooms, young people volunteering to help tidy litter blown around by the wind and so on.

Dear Families,
I hope this week’s update find you and those closest to you in good health. I write to you on the back of the sad news that Her Majesty the Queen has passed away. Events like this can bring out a range of emotions and responses in communities and we have seen nationally an outpouring of collective grief but also a recognition of the tireless work Elizabeth II did in service of our country. A truly inspirational role model for us all. In school we have observed a minutes silence at Midday alongside the ringing of bells in Westminster. We know those who have suffered personal loss in recent times may find the next few days a little more challenging and we will keep a close eye on them having offered additional support to students and colleagues where necessary today. If you feel your child could do with a little extra support please do contact their Year Manager.
