Dear Families
I hope this update finds you and those closest to you in the best of health. I write to you at the end of another positive week at the academy. Our students have been a joy to be around this week and seem to be full of enthusiasm and positivity. I’ve had the pleasure of touring the school with visitors on a couple of occasions and its been great to hear our young people speak so confidently about their experiences at the school and their learning. It has also been lovely to hear feedback from new parents and those who have been part of our community for a little longer – thank you for taking the time to let us know how things are going. The acknowledgment of the efforts our staff put in means a lot to them.

Dear Families,
I hope this update finds you and those closest to you in good health. This week’s update is slightly delayed. For those of you who follow our social channels you may have seen that I was at out Trust Leadership Day on Friday, hence, I was not in school to finalise and publish the update as usual. The day itself was an interesting one, with a focus on Academy and Trust Governance we heard from colleagues from the DfE and the Confederation of School Trusts about the future for governance and how we can further support governors in their roles.

Dear Families,
I hope this update finds you and those closest to you in the best of health. Students have enjoyed their first full week at the academy and you can see our newer members of the community getting to grips with the rhythm and routine of a busy working week. The new drinks machines have proven to be a big hit and we will be investing in additional machines this half term to meet the demand. There is more information about bottles for these below.
I’ve had the pleasure of showing a number of visitors around this week and we’re looking to open our doors to our wider community on a more regular basis so they can see our academy in action and gain an insight into ow things work here on a daily basis. More about this later in the term.

I hope that the start to term has been as positive for you and your child as it has been across the academy. Following two days of focussed training for staff, our students have returned to school in good spirits, have embraced the changes we have made over summer and look ready to take on another year of development and growth. The staggered introduction has really helped those newest to our community find their feet and we’ve been so impressed by Year 7, for their ‘can do’ attitude, and students in other Year Groups for giving up their time to help our youngest students find their way. It has been a joy to witness and shows how inclusive and unique our community is.

I hope this brief update finds you and those closest to you in the best of health. I write to you on our last training day ahead of the start of a new academic year with just some brief pointers about the next few days to help alleviate any pre-term nerves that our students (or families) may have.

Dear Families
I hope this update finds you and those closest to you in the best of health. Our students and staff have now begun their summer break and will take some time to recharge and reconnect with friends and family. Term time can be intense, so, whilst we know that most of our community will miss the routine and rhythm of the school week, the relaxation, and slower pace throughout August will serve everyone well in preparation for the new school year in September. That is the focus of most of this update below.

Dear Families
I hope this update finds you and those closest to you in the best of health. I write to you following an unusual week at the academy where we have had two days of closure due to industrial action, two days of transition for our new Year 7 students, Year 11 Graduation, Year 10 examinations and our final Drop Down Day of the year. Alongside this, I’ve spent some time at the Festival of Education in Wellington with colleagues from across our trust listening to some really inspirational and interesting viewpoints on education, technology, AI, politics, assessment and curriculum. Some of which will be finding its way into our future planning for the academy.

Dear Families
I hope this update finds you and your family in good health. It’s been a somewhat different week at the academy this week with the natural rhythm of the school day changing due to the re-alignment of break and lunch across the school. Our students have adapted really well to this and seem to be enjoying the additional spaces we have been able to open up outside. In addition to the changes to breaks we’ve also seen a large proportion of our community celebrating Eid this week resulting in reduced numbers on site. Eid Mubarak to all who were celebrating.

Dear Families
I hope this update finds you and those closest to you in the best of health. This week’s update is slightly delayed, primarily because at this time of year we begin planning for the next academic year and I have spent much of the weekend in conference with the rest of the Senior Leadership Team, evaluating where we are as a school and setting the strategic objectives for the next 2 years to move the school forwards again. We are in a strong position.
